Near Rainier / June 2021
Jacob, Peanut, and I wandered over to these spots multiple times to kick off the Summer. We swam in the bright green Cowlitz River, camped, and backpacked. This Washington Summer has been unusually hot, so we have been escaping to alpine rivers and lakes whenever we can to jump in and quickly swim out.
Other sights like forest sunsets, orange fires, and my happy little guy, Peanut, eating bugs, brought me joy and peace.
